American Heart Month

American Heart Month

With the holidays upon us, we all are reminded of how precious life and our loved ones are to us.  At ECI, we hope to raise awareness of the importance of caring for ourselves and our families through preventive efforts, especially in relation to heart health.  Consider giving the gift of a ‘Prevent-an-Event’ screening as a first step on the journey to a healthy heart!

Rather than waiting for a heart attack or stroke to occur, it makes sense to focus on prevention.  “Health is the only commodity that can make a rich man poor and a poor man rich.’  Be appreciative and thankful for good health each day.  Tend your heart!

We all have a responsibility to be as healthy as we can be.  Eating nutrient-dense whole food, going sugar-free, spending time in the kitchen preparing meals, drinking plenty of water, exercising regularly, getting good sleep, keeping our stress low, and living each day with gratitude will go a long way towards maintaining health throughout life.

In the book, “Beat the Heart Attack Gene,’ the authors emphasize that heart attacks and strokes CAN be prevented.  With a combination of comprehensive blood testing and non-invasive cardiovascular screening, you can know your risk and take the appropriate measures to reduce this risk.

Give yourself the gift of ‘heart health’ by completing a “Prevent-an-Event” screening before February 2015 and receive a 15% discount.

If schedules don’t allow…treat yourself or your Valentine to a screening during American Heart Month (February) and receive a 10% discount.  Spread the love!
